Success Is Like Wine

If you have been searching for ways to make money online I'm sure you have come across many "get rich schemes". These are everywhere. The only person who gets rich is the one who created the scheme and only for a short while before that person gets caught. You should think to your self, if all of these schemes worked, then everyone would be making a lot of money online.

Instant gratification is something that most people want. I know, because I have been there. I have spent money on products that I thought would make me money quickly. Of course none of them gave me the money in the time they said they could. If you want instant gratification play the lotto and hope to get lucky, that's the only way to make money pretty much instantly. For the rest of us we need to remember that having an online business or just making money online can take a little while.

The first thing anyone wanting to make money online should put on his or her goal/to-do list, is to be patient. That's the one thing people forget about when trying to make money online, is that it wont come instantly. This could make you a lot of money in the future. Just stick to what ever you are doing, this plus hard work should get you to the financial goals you want.

Any founder of a huge successful company didn't just start it one day and was rich the next. It took time to build the company to its current status. It's true even if you didn't or aren't starting your own business. When you start working for a company you start at the bottom level most of the time. You then have to be patient and work hard in order to move up in "ranking" and get paid more.

If you are expecting instant results then you will get fed up much easier then if you knew time and patience were key. Say you were hoping to make $1000 by tomorrow and you had just started your business. This would be very hard to come by and you would be so frustrated that you hadn't met that objective that you would quit and not try anymore. However had you known and expected that it would take time to start making the money you want, then success would come a little easier.

However this doesn't mean you shouldn't set goals. You definitely should, but make sure they are reachable and if for some reason you don't make that goal don't be to bent out of shape about it just work harder for the next month.

I like to think of success as wine. Would you drink wine right after it was made? Maybe, but it wouldn't taste as good as if it were aged for a while. This is true for success online and offline. Success takes time as does wine, so I like to live be this saying that I thought of: Success is like wine, it takes time to be great.

Make no wine before its time

My Approach to Winemaking

"Make no wine before its time."

C.J.J. Berry's classic First Steps in Winemaking presented 130 winemaking recipes in a unique fashion, listing the recipes under the calendar month in which the ingredients are usually plentiful and the corresponding wines are usually made in Great Britain. While that organization probably served the home gardener well in the 1950s and 60s in Great Britain, elsewhere, especially in these days of readily available produce from produce and supermarkets, such an organization makes less sense. It is difficult to utilize such a presentation without constant reference to the index. An alphabetical organization is far more utilitarian and will be used in my recipes section, with the primary ingredient listed first. I'll leave the timing of your winemaking to you.

While I love grape wines, I also love the varied tastes of "country wines," those wines made from fruits, vegetables, seeds, grain, leaves, flowers, bark, roots, and other non-grape ingredients. In particular, I like making these various wines. So, while you will find grape-wine recipes here, you will find that the bulk of this web site is devoted to non-grape wines.

I am also more than a little partial to making wines from wild, edible plants. Maybe it's the Boy Scout in me or maybe it's the idea of using what God has placed before us to be used, or maybe it's the activity of hunting for and gathering the ingredients in the few remaining wild parcels of land surrounding us, but I suspect it's a bit of all three. Thus, I am fond of using wild grapes for my grape wines and wild edibles for my non-grape wines. So you will find sections of this web site devoted specifically to the native grapes of North America and making wines from wild edible plants. In most cases, the recipes for a wild ingredient's wine is the same, or almost the same, as for the domesticated variety of the same ingredient if there is a cultivated variety. When this is the case, the ingredient's wine recipe(s) will be found in the main recipe section. But when there are special considerations for the wild variety, the recipe(s) will be listed under the section on making wines from wild edible plants. Wine recipes for wild grapes will be found, naturally enough, under the section on native grapes. The point is, if you don't find a recipe under the main recipe section, look under the edible plants section just to be sure. And, in a very few cases, you will find different recipes for the same ingredient under both sections. Again, look in both sections just to be sure.

Finally, I have to warn you that portions of this web site are, as they say, "under construction." That simply means there is more to say on the subject. No, you won't find any "under constraction" signs, but you might notice that the page or section is obviously unfinished. Where this occurs, I apologize in advance. The material I aim to present is simply vast, and I only have limited time to devote to web-building. So I ask you to bear with me, bookmark the site, and check back often. The truth is that I have hundreds of wine recipes to post and intend to do so, but it does take time. If you can't wait, send me an email request for a particular recipe and I'll write you back and post the reply under the requested recipes section (another good place to check, by the way).

My best to each of you, and may your wines always meet your expectations.

The Best Articles on Sauvignon Blanc

Wine Utensils

The ideal utensils to use for wine making and boiling ingredients & juices are those of good quality enamel. Those sold under a brand name are most reliable. The utensils must not be chipped.

It is almost impossible to pour clear wine from one bottle to another without stirring up the lees. Because of this, it is a good plan, to siphon off the clear wine when rebottling it.

Using about a yard and a half of surgical rubber tubing or plastic tubing, siphoning is a very simple operation. First, put the bottles or jars of wine on a table and the empty bottles on a stool or box on the floor. Next, put one end of the tubing in the first bottle of wine and suck the other end of the tube until the wine comes; pinch the tube at your lips and - holding on tight - put this end in the empty bottle and then let the wine flow. As the level of the wine falls, lower the tube into it, being careful not to let it touch the lees. When nearly all of the wine has been transferred, pinch the tube at the neck of both bottles, put one end into the next bottle and allow the wine to flow again.

In this way a constant flow is maintained and you have bottles of crystal-clear wine. The sediment from each bottle may be put together; this will clear in time to leave a little more wine.

Most of you will already have heard of one or other home-made wine and will have decided which to make. For those who have not yet decided, preference for a 'port* or 'whisky' may be the deciding factor and this must rest with yourselves.

I would advise you only in this: make, say, a gallon or a half-gallon of a variety of wines and then decide which you prefer over a period of time. I have whittled my own preference down to nine different wines which I brew regularly according to season, leaving the dried fruit for the time when fresh fruit is not available and when roots - potatoes, etc. - are too fresh for wine-making purposes.

NOTE:

Different recipes will call for slightly different approaches, but it must be remembered that whatever else has to be done, the brew must be kept in a warm place throughout the fermentation period, and that the process after fourteen days* fermentation in the tub is the same with all recipes.

Now select your recipe and go ahead with your wine-making, bearing in mind all that I have warned you about.
